‹Jewelry is a medium I connect well with: on the one hand its size offers me a lot of freedom and on the other hand there is its reference and closeness to the body. I want people to perceive things differently, in a different light, to find new connections.›


Margit Hart (* 1958) graduated in goldsmithing, subsequently studying history and art history in Vienna, before returning to jewelry in the Metal Program at SUNY New Paltz. She has been running her own studio in Vienna since 1994. In 2015 Margit Hart received the first prize of the Mario Pinton Award in Padua. Her works are exhibited worldwide and can be found in several public collections, such as the MAK – Museum für angewandte Kunst / Gegenwartskunst in Vienna, and the Schmuckmuseum Pforzheim.
